Harmony Pruners

Every garden with its trees, shrubs and other plants has different requirements with regard to its optimal care. Gardeners, in turn, also have different individual needs and physical preconditions. The pruners of the Harmony series by Fiskars are aimed at responding to those individual needs and preferences. They were designed against the background that consumers are generally overwhelmed with the task of picking the right pruner for them. The design is the result of identifying five key attributes that inherently guide the target group in any of their pruner purchases. The design process has thus focused on the overall size of the tool, the blade size and the contours of the tool including soft grip features, as well as the material construction and simplicity in use. Internalising these aspects, the new pruner series aims to create an easily digestible logic, which embodies both these key features of the tools and the brand’s overall benefits. The result is a product line with a harmoniously coordinated language of form that easily visualises the right pruner for every consumer need. Thus, the entry-level pruner for example is the smallest pruner overall. It has the smallest blade and does not offer the sophisticated ergonomics and soft grip features of the higher priced models yet. With every step the user takes upwards within the product line, the five attributes are increased, adding to each tool’s value.
