The interior of an aircraft is crucial to whether passengers feel comfortable. Since the Falcon 6X business jet features a large cross-section, it provided the opportunity to rethink the cabin interior in terms of a human-centric design. A key design element in this is the novel overhead skylight, which fills the entryway with natural light. The main cabin showcases impressively flowing curves and flush surfaces. In keeping with the overall concept, the design of the furnishings and other equipment also picks up on the organic aesthetics without being visually interrupted by the technology concealed within. Sitting in the ergonomically designed “cocoons” with integrated electronics and recessed controls is particularly pleasant. Patented retractable arms hold tablets that facilitate multifunctional use and comfortable in-flight dining. Based on a Well Design concept, an innovation for private aircrafts, ventilation, lighting and acoustics complement each other in a perfectly coordinated system targeted at human well-being. Thanks to a sophisticated choice of materials and surfaces, light coming in through 30 large windows is absorbed and reflected on the inside. Mood lighting is used to recreate the seasons and times of day, supporting the passengers’ natural circadian rhythm.
