Simon Ong, born in Singapore in 1953, graduated with a master’s degree in design from the University of New South Wales and an MBA from the University of South Australia. He is the deputy chairman and co-founder of Kingsmen Creatives Ltd., a leading communication design and production group with 19 offices across the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East and North America.
Kingsmen has won several awards, such as the President’s Design Award, Singapore Good Design Mark, SRA Best Retail Concept Award, SFIA Hall of Fame, Promising Brand Award, A.R.E. Retail Design Award and RDI International Store Design Award USA. Simon Ong is actively involved in the creative industry as chairman of the design group of Manpower, the Skills & Training Council of Singapore Workforce Development Agency. Moreover, he is a member of the advisory board of the Singapore Furniture Industries Council, Design Business Chamber Singapore and Interior Design Confederation of Singapore. An ardent advocate of education, Simon Ong currently serves as a board director of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and a member of the advisory board to the School of Design & Environment at the National University of Singapore.
