This art space is an abandoned old factory and now serves as a cafe and exhibition space. The design concept of the entire building is based on the idea of timelessness or time reversal, the idea of going against time or a sense of time dislocation, which creates a gap between the inside and the outside, the objects and the space. Thus, entering the space already holds a surprise, because the interior does completely without decoration in favour of retaining the former industrial character with its mottled and continuous texture of walls and floor. It is this simplicity that makes the works of art and objects on display take fully centre stage. In addition, it makes the past meet the future, because the space thus stays highly flexible and suitable for different uses in the future, such as fashion shows or product presentations. In addition, the window enlargement from the ceiling to the floor creates a higher sense of opening to the outside, allowing natural light to form lines and shadows depending on the weather and time of day and interacting in a fascinating manner with the display space.
