T7

The seventh generation of the VW Multivan, the T7, continues the success story of the Bulli since the 1950s in terms of both function and design. The Multivan shows the typical Bulli proportions with a compact bonnet and an A-pillar that accentuates the front wheels, as well as the balance between upper and lower vehicle volume, which is emphasised by the horizontal Bulli character line running across the body. Skilfully integrated into this profile are details such as the barely visible sliding door rail and the headlights, which form eyes towards the sides of the front light line and define the vehicle’s distinctive and friendly-looking front end. The windscreen is more sharply raked, which is compensated for by a second A-pillar, the A'-pillar. This cab-forward design means that the driver sits very high and far forward, which enhances the feeling of sitting on a throne above the road. The character of the Bulli line is also reflected in the wider interior. The interior is accentuated by ambient lighting and combines a warm colour scheme with the use of materials such as wood and aluminium, as well as a huge panoramic roof to further enhance the impression of generous spaciousness and lightness. The biggest innovation in terms of the interior design is the continuous flat floor with a rail system that allows the now lighter seats and the table to be flexibly positioned, moved and removed, giving users maximum freedom in everyday life.
